The problem. Cement and mineral processing require control of many variaibles that are not measured, measured infrequently, or highly unreliaible or inaccurate.  These are typically kiln feed free-limes, and particle size. Others also include certain material analyses as well as gas analyses. 

 

 

General Solution. We use the powerful calculation capabilities of G2 to estimate various measurements that are problematic, either to use directly in the control, or to supplement the actual measurements such as providing estimated higher-frequency measurements. For exmaple, if free-limes are measured once an hour, it is possible predict in smaller increments like once ecvery minute such freelimes.

Optin has developed predictors or soft sensors using a vareity of mathematical methods which range from linear multivariaible regressions to the use of full neural networks.
